MD Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Ali Deveci​

Dr. Mehmet Ali Deveci borned on Batman in 1978 and after finishing the primary and high school education in İskenderun, started Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine English Group in 1996. He had been graduated from medical school at 2002 and started residency of Orthopedics and Traumatology in Gazi University Faculty of Medicine and became a specialist at November 2008. He had been awarded as EFORT traveling fellowship and make observations in University of Vien, Graz and Insburck in 2008. After graduation he has worked as specialist in Siirt Kurtalan State Hospital as government work in 2009-2010 and became a fellow of orthopedic oncology in Rizolli Orthopedic Institute and worked with Prof. Pietro Ruggieri and Prof. Mario Mercuri.

He started his academic carrier at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine at 2010 and became an Assistant Professor at 2011 and Associate Professor at 2017 in same hospital. He has been focused on Orthopedic Oncology (Bone and soft tissue tumors), knee arthoplasty and extremity trauma surgery on his carrier in Çukurova University. During June 2019 He has been working in Koç University School of Medicine Department of orthopedics and traumatology in fields of Orthopedic oncology, arthroplasty and trauma surgery.  He is member of many national and international societies as Türk Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Birliği Derneği (TOTBİD), Türk Ortopedi ve Traumatoloji derneği (TOTDER), Türkiye Spor yaralanmaları, artroskopi ve eklem cerrahisi Derneği (TUSYAD), TOTBİD kas iskelet tümörleri şubesi (board member for 4 years), European musculoskeletal oncology society (EMSOS), International society of limp salvage (ISOLS), SICOT ile Turkish Council of Orthopedic Education (TOTEK) and Turkish orthopedics research council. Dr. Deveci is still the chair of board of AOTrauma Turkiye and AOTrauma MID research committee.

He has been published 31 publications in terms of web of science as well as many national and international book chapters and has 79 oral-poster presentation in national and international congresses. He also has 12 publications indexed in different indexes other than WOS. He has 193 citations to his publications in WOS. From 2010 he has given many lectures in undergraduate and postgraduate levels both in Çukurova university and Koç University School of Medicine. He has been worked as chair and educator in many numbers of congresses and courses in national and international level.

He has been awarded with Turkish Council of Orthopedic Education Board Certificate until 2010. His area of interests are musculoskeletal oncology, primary and revision knee arthroplasty, complex trauma surgery and sports traumatology.

Associate Prof. Deveci is married and father of two children.
